[email protected] · 24/7 support for customers under contract

A restaurant counter under warm lamps, in the middle of service. Bookings

During service, the phone is the worst customer in the room.

It rings when the room is full, it interrupts somebody who is actually here, and if nobody takes it, it goes and eats elsewhere. Konvoice does not replace your team on the phone: it makes sure that what could not be taken right away is not lost.

You keep your numbers, at no porting cost.

What you already know

Three situations, before we talk telephony.

If none of the three rings a bell, this page is not for you, and we would rather you found that out now.

The rush against the ringtone

Between 12:15 and 13:30, nobody can pick up. Those are precisely the hours when people book for the evening.

Two addresses, one number online

The second site opens, the online listing keeps the old number, and the team at the first spends the day saying “no, this is the one on the quay”.

The Monday-closing message

The announcement still says “open Tuesday to Saturday” three months after it changed, because changing it meant ringing the supplier.

What changes during service

What was not picked up comes back in a queue, not into nothing.

A call missed at 12:40 is a possible booking for 20:00. It appears in a shared list with the time, the number and, if they left a message, what they said — in writing.

  • Honest announcement and wait — the caller knows whether there are people ahead of them, and is offered a callback.
  • Transcribed voicemail — “four people Saturday at eight, terrace if possible”, readable in three seconds between two plates.
  • Shared queue — the evening shift sees what the lunch shift could not take.
  • Call back in one gesture — from the list, presenting the restaurant’s number.

What changes when you open a second site

A second restaurant, not a second phone system.

Each address has its own number, its own hours and its own announcement, and all of them are administered from the same screen by the same person.

  • One number per site — local, in the city’s dialling code, ported or newly assigned.
  • Hours per site — annual closures included, entered once, six months ahead.
  • An extension that follows — the multi-site manager hears both rooms ring and knows which one is calling.
  • No visit for a setting — change an announcement from a phone, between two services.

Konvoice Edge

The till and the line go down. The phone does not.

In a restaurant, the same router carries the till, the guest Wi-Fi and the phone. When it fails on a Friday night, all of it stops — except the phone system, if it is served on site.

  • The floor calls the kitchen, the kitchen answers.
  • The welcome announcement keeps playing.
  • Messages are recorded and sync back when the line returns.
  • A local backup line keeps a way out to the outside world.

Questions we get asked in this trade

Does Konvoice take bookings for us?
No, and we would rather say so plainly than sell you an auto-attendant in disguise. Konvoice rings, routes, holds, calls back, records a message and writes it down. A person takes the booking. What we remove is the call that goes nowhere — not the job of welcoming people.
Can we connect our booking software?
Yes, where it exposes an API. The contact card that appears before you pick up can carry their past bookings, and a call can leave a trace in your tool. The list of integrations already in place is on its own page; for everything else, the public API and signed webhooks are documented.
We only have one cordless handset behind the bar.
That is a standard case. A DECT base and its handset are provisioned like a desk phone, with the same directory and the same call log. If the current handset is a common SIP model, it is kept as it is.
