An old control desk in a control room: two rows of dials, switches lined up and two lamps hanging above.
Six parts, one subscription

The platform

One system instead of four.

The phone system, the carrier contract, your teams’ app and the tool that fills in the CRM are no longer four purchases, four invoices and four suppliers. Konvoice brings them together — without becoming a black box you can no longer leave.

Two places, not one

The cloud administers. It does not carry your calls.

It is the one architectural decision in this product, and everything else follows from it. A platform that routes the call from extension 201 to extension 214 — ten metres — through a data centre three hundred kilometres away has converted a network outage into a telephony outage. Konvoice does not make that conversion.

  • In the cloud — accounts, numbers, rules, billing, analytics, AI.
  • As close to the handsets as possible — signalling, audio, queues, transfers, voicemail.
  • On every site — a standalone copy of what that site needs to run on its own.
  • Consequence — the control plane can be unavailable without a single call stopping.

A well-maintained on-site phone system is not a bad product. It is alone.

The table below also names the columns where we do not win

Architecture

Three planes, and only one allowed to fall over.

The separation between administration and traffic is not an implementation detail: it is what decides whether your calls depend on your internet connection.

  • Control plane — accounts, numbers, rules, billing, analytics, AI. In the cloud. Can be unavailable without a call stopping.
  • Telephony plane — SIP signalling, media, queues, transfers, recordings. As close to the handsets as possible.
  • Local plane — each site’s Konvoice Edge, which holds everything that site needs to run on its own.

Control plane · cloud

Companies, users, extensions, numbers, sites, devices, rules, billing, analytics, integrations, AI, security.

Telephony plane · real time

SIP, RTP, calls, IVR, queues, bridges, transfers, voicemail, conferences, recordings, trunks, endpoints.

Local plane · in your building

A standalone copy of what the site needs. Runs without the internet, resynchronises when the link returns.

The control plane can go down without a call stopping.

A table written honestly: there are columns where we do not win, and hiding them would only disappoint you later.

A well-maintained on-site PBX remains a valid solution. Our argument is not that it is bad, but that you should not have to choose between its resilience and the comfort of a modern platform.

What your teams see

Administration in three clicks, not three tickets.

Creating a person, giving them an extension, assigning them a number and provisioning their phone is a single operation. Nobody ever opens Asterisk, PJSIP or a configuration file.

The Workspace home screen: today’s calls, what was missed, unplayed messages and which colleagues are available.
  • One user, several devices — the desk phone, the mobile and the browser ring together, with separate credentials.
  • Real roles — company administrator, site administrator, supervisor, agent, read-only, billing.
  • Dated changes — an opening-hours change or a routing rule can be prepared today and take effect on Monday.
  • Everything is logged — who changed what, when, from which address.
